I Looked Into Bokura no Minano Base
2026-09-01

I've been continuing my project of researching campsites, day-trip hot springs, and lodges one by one and writing them up on this blog. I've already covered several places in the Saitama area, but it seems like there are still plenty of facilities I don't know about yet.
This time, I looked into Bokura no Minano Base, located in Minano Town. When I came across it on social media, the photos of the restroom/shower building looked really stylish and clean, which caught my attention and got me started on this research.
The clean restroom/shower building, combining gray walls with a wooden design, seemed to be the biggest draw of this facility.
As for the Rakuten Mobile signal, when I checked using the official tool it just showed a maintenance notice with no result, so I couldn't say anything definite.
I've put together the details below.
What Kind of Place Is Bokura no Minano Base?
Bokura no Minano Base is apparently a campsite located in Minano Town, Chichibu District, Saitama Prefecture. It seems to have been opened by someone who had been working as a local revitalization cooperation corps member, and multiple listing pages agreed that it operates year-round.
As I dug deeper, though, I found several points where sources disagreed. Some listing pages say there are no regular closing days, while others say it's closed every Tuesday and Wednesday, and my research alone couldn't determine which was correct. Check-in time was also inconsistent, with some sources saying 1:00 PM and others saying 2:00 PM, so I couldn't pin that down either. It seems safest to confirm the latest information directly before making a reservation.
I couldn't find an official website on its own domain. Instead, it seems that Instagram, an official LINE account, and booking platforms like Nap and Rakuten Travel Camp serve as the main channels for information and reservations. Apparently, changes to business hours and the like are announced on Instagram rather than an official site, so checking social media first seems like the way to go if you want the latest updates.
Besides online booking through Nap, reservations also seem to be accepted via the official LINE account or by phone (I'm leaving out the phone number here since it was listed differently across sources). Payment methods were also inconsistent, with some sources saying credit cards are accepted and others saying they aren't, so I couldn't confirm that either.

It's a bit confusing that the regular closing days and check-in time differ depending on the source, but the key thing to remember is that Instagram seems to be the authoritative source. Checking social media once before booking sounds like a good idea.
Checking Out the Restroom/Shower Building That's Known for Being Clean
What caught my attention most this time was, unsurprisingly, the restroom/shower building. With its gray walls paired with a wooden design, I found several introductions describing it as "clean and stylish." Apparently the restrooms are flush toilets equipped with bidet seats, which as someone who leans indoorsy, I found pretty reassuring. However, whether they're separated by gender or shared wasn't clear from the wording on the listing pages, so I couldn't confirm that.
- Showers: There appear to be both a free shared shower room and coin-operated paid showers. Prices for the paid showers varied between sources, with some saying 300 yen for 15 minutes and others saying 350 yen for 15 minutes, so I couldn't confirm which was accurate
- Hair dryers: Apparently available for free
- Powered sites: Rather than being available at every spot, power seems to be offered for a fee only in certain areas, such as the Kuwanoki area, so it looks like you'd need to check in advance
- Wi-Fi: Some sources say it's available for free, but since I couldn't confirm this across all primary sources, I'm noting it here just for reference
- Cafe Shika no Nedoko: This cafe doubles as the reception desk, and apparently offers South Indian-style spiced curry, Chichibu miso Napolitan pasta, Taiwanese castella cake, and more. Business hours varied between sources, so I couldn't pin down the exact details
- Barrel sauna: Some information mentioned a large reservation-based barrel sauna that can accommodate up to 10 people. However, other listing pages still described it as under construction, so I couldn't confirm whether it's actually up and running at this point
- Cooking area: Apparently equipped with hot water
- Firewood: Seems to be sold by weight, but prices varied between sources, with some saying 140 yen per kilogram and others saying 180 yen, so this wasn't clear either
All the sites are free-layout sites, and multiple pages agreed that one vehicle per reservation can be driven in. Pets and fireworks also seem to be allowed, but I couldn't dig up the detailed conditions, so anyone planning to visit should probably check in advance. Overall, my impression was that while the facilities themselves are quite substantial, the finer details around pricing and hours vary from page to page.
Rakuten Mobile Signal Conditions
I checked the location of Bokura no Minano Base using the official "My Area Connectivity Simulation" tool.
As it turned out, no result was displayed at all — instead I got a message saying something like "currently undergoing temporary maintenance." It's possible that data simply isn't available for this area of Minano Town within the tool, and honestly, I couldn't get a reading of either good or bad. To put it plainly without exaggeration, all I can say about the signal this time is "unknown."
Given that it's a campsite in a mountainous area, there's a reasonable chance the signal could be unstable. If you're actually considering visiting, I'd recommend checking the official tool yourself beforehand for peace of mind.

This was actually the first time I've run into a case where no result came up at all. It made me realize that this is exactly the kind of situation where it really matters to check the official tool with your own eyes before heading out.
Wrapping Up
To sum it all up, my overall impression of Bokura no Minano Base was that it's a campsite equipped with a clean restroom/shower building, a cafe, a barrel sauna, and other facilities that seem comfortable even for someone who leans indoorsy. On the other hand, there were a lot of discrepancies between listing pages regarding things like regular closing days, check-in time, pricing, and shower fees, so it seems best to check the official Instagram or LINE account for the latest information before booking.
As for the Rakuten Mobile signal, the official tool didn't return a result, so it ended up as an unknown. I wasn't able to tell you whether it's good or bad, but I'm sharing this research result as it is. If you're curious, I'd definitely encourage you to check the official tool for yourself.
