I Looked Into Kanoa Fuji Yamanakako Glamping Resort
2026-10-06

I keep researching campsites, day-trip hot springs, and places to stay, whether or not I ever actually get to go. This time I picked a glamping resort as a candidate for the "change my camping plans and make a detour for a hokance" scenario (a staycation-style getaway).
The place I looked into is Kanoa Fuji Yamanakako Glamping Resort. I found out that every room has an open-air natural hot spring bath and a big dome theater. As an indoors person, I was curious whether it would be comfortable to spend the whole stay without ever leaving the room.
Every room has an open-air natural hot spring bath and a 100-inch dome theater, and it looks like you could enjoy your whole stay without leaving the room, which seems to be one of its major draws.
As for Rakuten Mobile signal conditions, the official tool gave an overall rating of "C". I think it's safer not to rely too much on the signal and to check ahead of time.
I've put the details below.
A Small Resort in Yamanakako Village with Just 7 Dome Tents
It's a glamping facility in Yamanakako Village, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, and apparently it has a total of 7 dome tents. With so few units, my impression is that it feels more like a cozy hideaway than a lively, large-scale resort.
According to the official website, the room types are as follows.
- Fuji View: 1 to 6 guests, 66 ㎡, 1 unit
- Fuji View Grande: 1 to 10 guests, 80.7 ㎡, 1 unit
- Fuji View Suite Grande: 1 to 10 guests, 80.7 ㎡, 1 unit. It apparently comes with a tent sauna and game consoles
- Forest & Play Game: 1 to 6 guests, 66 ㎡, 2 units
- Corner Garden: 1 to 6 guests, 66 ㎡, 1 unit. Dogs are welcome, it seems
- Garden: 1 to 6 guests, 66 ㎡, 1 unit. Dogs are welcome here too, it seems
Here's how the timing and rules were described.
- Check-in: From 15:00. If you'll be arriving late, you need to contact them by 20:30, and it sounds like the on-site staff stay until 21:00
- Check-out: By 10:00 the next morning
- Early check-in / late check-out: 2,750 yen per person per hour (glamping). Late check-out is available until 12:00, apparently
- Cancellation fees: 20% from 27 days before, 50% from 14 days before, and 100% from 7 days before
- Booking: Reservations, changes, additions, and cancellations all seem to be handled online only. The phone inquiry line is apparently open from 9:00 to 20:00
- Payment: Cash and various credit cards are accepted, it seems
- Room rates: The official website doesn't list specific prices, and it looks like you check the plan list on a booking site. I haven't confirmed the prices this time
For access, by car it's about 15 minutes from Yamanakako IC on the Higashi-Fujigoko Road, and about 80 to 90 minutes from the Kanto area. By public transportation, it goes like this.
- Highway bus: About 150 minutes from Busta Shinjuku on the Fujigoko Line, then about a 15-minute walk from the Yamanakako Hirano bus stop
- Train and bus: About 50 minutes by sightseeing loop bus from Fujisan Station on the Fujikyu Line, or about 60 minutes from Kawaguchiko Station. Either way, it seems to be about a 15-minute walk from the Hirano (Yamanakako) bus stop
Parking is free and is apparently about 100 m (around a 1-minute walk) from the facility. You can also carry your luggage to the room ahead of time, it seems. I couldn't find any mention of a dedicated shuttle service for the facility on the official website.

I don't drive, so the roughly 15-minute walk from the bus stop caught my attention. Depending on how much luggage you have, it seems like going by car would be easier.
A Hot Spring and Dome Theater Combo That Seems to Work Without Ever Leaving Your Room
What stood out to me most was that every room has an open-air natural hot spring bath. The water is described as a chloride and sulfate spring, and apparently you can bathe whenever you like, 24 hours a day. Not having to worry about public bath hours is a real plus for an indoors person like me.
The official website lists the following as features shared by all the units.
- Dome theater: A 100-inch big screen, apparently
- Private garden: There's also a hammock, it seems
- Indoor dining space: Air-conditioned and heated, apparently
- Air conditioning and Wi-Fi: Available in all rooms, it seems
- Amenities: Adult pajama robes, towels, bath products, and toothbrushes. There are no children's robes, apparently
An announcement dated June 19, 2026 also seemed to mention a refresh of the room amenities and the introduction of salon-quality hair dryers.
The Fuji View Suite Grande apparently has a private tent sauna and game consoles. Swimwear is recommended for the sauna, and it can't be used in bad weather, but there's apparently a substitute perk in that case. The two dog-friendly types also have their own dog runs, listed as 168 ㎡ for the Corner Garden and 127.5 ㎡ for the Garden.

Soak in the hot spring, watch a movie, and fall asleep right there when you get tired. Just imagining it, that might be pretty close to my ideal stay-at-home kind of holiday.
What's Included in the All-Inclusive Service: Drinks and Activities
The resort apparently advertises an all-inclusive service, and here's how it was described.
- Drinks: The drinks in the room fridge are free, and it's apparently one beer, one sour, and one bottle of mineral water per adult
- Activities: Pizza making, smoking food, and a bonfire seem to be included. Each unit apparently has a fire pit and firewood
For meals, the BBQ gas grill costs 5,000 yen, but it's apparently free if you choose BBQ for dinner. Renting a portable gas stove is 1,500 yen and a spice set is 500 yen.
Pets can stay in the two types, Corner Garden and Garden, up to 5 per room, and there are apparently no breed restrictions. If you have 3 or more large dogs, you need to consult them beforehand, and it seems you also need proof of rabies and combination vaccinations.
For shopping, the official website's Q&A says that within driving distance there's a Lawson Yamanakako Ishiwari store (about 2 minutes), a 7-Eleven Yamanakako Hirano store (about 5 minutes), and an Ogino Yamanakako store (about 13 minutes). The official website has a dedicated page for nearby sightseeing, but I haven't checked what's on it this time, so I don't know the distances or travel times. If you're curious, please take a look at the official website directly.

Rakuten Mobile Signal Conditions
I entered the facility's location (Yamanakako Village, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture) into Rakuten Mobile's official tool, "my Area Communication Simulation", to check. The overall rating came back as "C".
Judging from this result, it seems best not to assume that the Rakuten Mobile signal will be stable, at least. For data-heavy uses like watching videos or video calls, it might be a good idea to check beforehand.
Since the rooms apparently have Wi-Fi, I'd probably end up using that indoors most of the time. That said, I haven't been able to confirm its speed or stability this time.
If you're worried about the signal, it's reassuring to check your planned stay location yourself with Rakuten Mobile's official "my Area Communication Simulation".

I was a little disappointed that the rating was C. But since this place seems to be all about enjoying movies and hot springs in your room, it might be fine to just treat it as a day when you barely touch your phone.
Wrapping Up
To sum it up, my impression of Kanoa Fuji Yamanakako Glamping Resort is that it's a glamping resort where every room has an open-air natural hot spring bath and a 100-inch dome theater, making it easy to put together a comfortable time even if you stay inside your room.
With only 7 dome tents, plus all-inclusive drinks and activities, it sounds like a fun detour for changing your camping plans and enjoying a "hokance". On the other hand, I haven't confirmed the room rates this time, booking is online only, and by public transportation it's about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, so those are things I felt are worth knowing ahead of time.
For Rakuten Mobile, the official tool's rating was "C". If you have plans that require a connection, it's reassuring to check with the official tool beforehand, along with how well the room Wi-Fi works for you.
